Our Story

Hunter was only 11 months old when he had his first shoulder surgery.

He was diagnosed with a genetic shoulder condition. The recovery was painful — but puppies are resilient. He healed quickly, and I stayed home from work to care for him until he could run again.

A few years later, the limping returned.

Hunter needed a second surgery, followed by underwater therapy, injections, and long recovery periods. And still, he never stopped loving life.

He loves to move.
He loves to fetch.
He almost always has a green ball in his mouth.

But too much activity has always come with a cost — stiffness, limping, and pain.

Now Hunter is 8 years old, and the pain is more frequent. Some days, he cries.

That’s when I created the balm — because I needed something that could help him feel better.

But relief alone wasn’t enough.

Hunter also needed physical support. And when I searched for a shoulder wrap that could truly fit and support him, I couldn’t find one.

So we decided to build what didn’t exist —
for dogs like Hunter, who don’t fit standard sizes.

Hunter’s Heart™ was born from love, necessity, and lived experience. And then there’s Benji — our chocolate Lab, now 10 years old. Where Hunter taught us about recovery, Benji teaches us about aging with grace. Both of them are the reason every product we create is made with such care.
