The Story Behind Lick Relief Balm
Benji, our Labrador, had a lick granuloma on his front paws. He licked the same spots constantly, and the licking left him with sores that were hard to settle.
His veterinarian explained that licking like this can become a habit, and that these habits are very hard to break. We wanted a gentle way to care for the skin on his paws while we kept working on the habit itself.
Our balm for dogs that lick grew out of that daily routine: a protective, conditioning layer made for skin that gets licked often.
Benji’s story is personal, not a promise that another dog will have the same experience. Lick Relief Balm is a topical care product. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent lick granuloma or any other condition. Persistent licking should be evaluated by a veterinarian.
Licking Is a Clue
Dogs may repeatedly lick for many reasons, including irritation, allergies, pain, boredom, stress or an underlying medical condition. A topical balm for dogs that lick can support the skin-care part of the routine, but it cannot identify or resolve every cause. Apply a small amount to the clean, dry targeted area as needed. Spread a thin layer and supervise your dog after application. Prevent excessive licking right after application. If your dog consumes a significant amount or develops vomiting, diarrhea, unusual drooling, lethargy or another unexpected reaction, contact your veterinarian.
